"We had some clear goal (today) and that was to push our record over .500. We had that challenge ahead of us. We can be two or even three games better with more games left. I was proud of the way our lads came back. We were not happy with Friday night (a 1-0 loss at home to Cal). We thought we missed a big chance.
"We stil have a hope for the postseason. All that matters now is that we look ahead to Wednesday. We want to be three games over .500 and hit 10 (wins) if we can. This was a huge bounce-back win. The forwards got goals. We challenged the freshmen to be good now. Matt (Van Houten) got his first goal. Ellis (McLoughlin) got a goal. Brad (Keller) played well at left back. (Stephen) Fung played well in goal. So, we ask them to step up because they are the present and the future of our team.
"The guys responded great from a real disappointment on Friday.
"The senior class is so key to our program. Eli (Allen) leads the conference with 10 goals and he had two today and was the leader. Derek (Crismier) was huge tactically in the second half. Today, he made a huge difference. (Stefan) Tangen played his role well. I was delighted to be able to get all the seniors into the game. They all played a part and I hope today gave them a great memory."
