Husky senior linebacker Scott White notched two interceptions in the second quarter, his third and fourth of the season. His 24-yard return on the first was the longest of his career. The interceptions were the seventh and eighth of the year by the UW. However, no starting defensive back has yet intercepted a pass. There have been five picks from linebackers (White 4, Dan Howell 1), two from backup DB Mesphin Forrester and one from DB Dashon Goldson at Arizona, a game he didn't start.

Washington converted both White interceptions into touchdowns (both on runs from Isaiah Stanback). Prior to today, the Huskies had converted eight turnovers this season into one touchdown (Dan Howell's return vs. UCLA) and one field goal (at Oklahoma).

With a fumble recovery at Oklahoma (the UW's only defensive fumble recovery of the season, prior to today), Scott White has five of the UW's 11 takeaways this season.

In the third quarter, safety Dashon Goldson made the second defensive fumble recovery of the day, jumping on a fumble from Beaver receiver Sammie Stroughter. The UW entered the game minus-two on turnovers this season (7 takeaways, 9 turnovers), but emerged ahead for the season at 10-9. The Huskies haven't turned the ball over in two straight games and have played three turnover-free games this season.

The 80-yard pass from OSU's Matt Moore to Sammie Stroughter was the Beavers' longest play from scrimmage this season. The previous long was a 67-yard pass from Sean Canfield to Ruben Jackson.

The 80-yard play was the longest given up by the UW since Air Force's Adam Fitch connected with Greg Kirkwood on an 84-yard TD pass in the 2005 season opener.

Michael Braunstein's

45-yard field goal, which capped the game's opening drive, was his career long. His previous long was 32 yards, earlier this season at Oklahoma. The field goal also marked the first ATTEMPT of the year by a UW kicker in Husky Stadium.

Husky senior fullback Mark Palaita's first-quarter, four-yard reception was the first pass reception of his career. It also marked his first offensive stat of the season.

Oregon State placekicker Alexis Serna went 5-for-5 on field-goal attempts two seasons ago (2004) at Husky Stadium. Last year, he went 6-for-6, scoring all the Beavers' points in an 18-10 win. So, in two years, he was 11-for-11 on field goals at Husky Stadium the last two years. Over that same stretch, and including this season (prior to today), the Huskies had made only 12 field goals (on 18 attempts) at Husky Stadium since the beginning of the 2004 season. Serna kicked two more field goals today while the UW had one, meaning over the last three seasons (2004-06), Serna has booted 13 field goals, equal to the Huskiees' team total over that same span.

Washington quarterbacks were sacked six times today. Heading into the game, UW QBs been sacked only five times in six games all season.

Husky receiver Cody Ellis set a new personal career high with four receptions. His previous high was three, set last week at USC.
