UW Golfers Finish 11th at CordeValle

San Martin, CA - The 11th-ranked Washington men's golf team could not make any headway on the leaderboard and finished 11th at UCLA's CordeValle Collegiate in San Martin, Calif. The Huskies posted a final round score of 7-over 295 during Tuesday's final round for a 54-hole total of 882.
UCLA took top honors at 849 thanks to a final-round score of 4-under 284. Northwestern was second at 855 while California tied Arkansas for third at 859.
Washington was led by sophomore Zach Bixler, who was 34th overall at 4-over 220. James Lepp posted a 71 Tuesday to place 39th at 221. Lepp also opened with a 71 but suffered through a 79 during the second round.
Alex Prugh was 42nd for the Huskies at 222 while a 77 dropped Erik Olson back to 47th at 224. Sterling Clark finished 69th at 229.
California's Michael Wilson carded a 5-under 67 during the final round to run away with medalist honors by six shots. Wilson finished at 10-under 206. UCLA's Erik Flores and Arizona's Henry Liaw tied for second at 212.
The CordeValle Collegiate was Washington's final tournament of the fall.
