UW Golfers Stand Fifth at Pac-10s After 36 Holes

Somis, CA - The 13th-ranked Washington women's golf team shot 310 during the second round of the Pac-10 Championships to fall back to fifth place entering Wednesday's final day of competition. Washington has a 36-hole total of 619 and trails tournament-leading UCLA (605) by 14 strokes. USC is second at 614 while California and Arizona are tied for third at 615. A total of 11 strokes separate the second and seventh-place teams in the standings.
Washington senior Lindsay Morgan continues to lead the Huskies in stroke play. She is tied for eighth at 7-over 151 after carding a 76 Tuesday at the par-72, 6,405-yard Saticoy Country Club. Morgan is one of four Husky players in the top-20. Sung Ea Lee is 12th at 10-over 154 while Paige Mackenzie and Amber Prange are tied for 19th at 157. Ashley Bickerton is 47th at 168. Courtney McCracken, playing as a non-scorer, is 54th at 175.
UCLA became the first team to break 300 during the tournament to build on their first day lead. The Bruins Hannah Jun and Charlotte Mayorkas are tied for first at 1-over 145. Jun shot 2-under 70 during the second round, the lowest score of any competitor over the first two days of play.
