
Husky Golfers Fall Back to Fourth at Las Vegas Collegiate

Las Vegas - The third-ranked Washington women's golf team dropped back to fourth place after two rounds of play at the Las Vegas Founders Collegiate Showdown. The Huskies posted a second-round score of 18-over 306 after shooting 294 during Monday's opening round. Washington's 36-hole score of 600 trails host UNLV by 12 strokes. Texas Tech is second at 594 while Stanford is third at 599. The final round of the tournament will take place Wednesday.
Washington junior Sung Ea Lee posted the Huskies best second round score, shooting 2-over 74, and is in ninth place entering the final round. Lee's 36-hole score stands at 4-over 148. Kim Shin shot 76 Tuesday and is in 15th place at 150. Amy Wang, who led UW with a 72 on Monday, followed that up with an 80 and is 24th at 152. Paige Mackenzie also shot 80 during the second round and fell back to 35th at 154. Ashley Bickerton carded a 76 to move up to 52nd at 157.
UNLV's Hwanhee Lee, Missouri's Maria Ohlsson and San Francisco's Jessica Porter are tied for the lead in stroke play at 1-over 145 with 18 holes remaining to be played.
