Fairfax, CA - The Washington men's golf team is in ninth place after the first 36 holes of play at the third-annual Alister Mackenzie Invitational at The Meadow Club. Washington turned in round of 290 and 299 for a 36-hole total of 21-over 589. Oregon State and Northwestern share the lead at 3-under 565.
Washington's top individual was Alex Prugh, who shot 70 and 71 for a 1-under total of 141. Prugh enters Tuesday's final round in ninth place. James Lepp is 42nd at 148 while Erik Olson is 47th at 149. Freshmen Zach Bixler and Joe Panzeri are 57th at 62nd, respectively, at 151 and 152.
Cal Poly's Travis Bertoni leads the event at 6-under 136. He carded rounds of 69 and 67.
