Friberg Stays in Third Place at ASU Invitational

Tempe, AZ - Washington senior Louise Friberg remains in a tie for third place at the Arizona State Invitational at the Karsten Golf Course. Friberg posted a 3-over 73 on Saturday for a two-day total of 143. She is six strokes behind tournament leader Charlotte Mayorkas of UCLA. Mayorkas shot 71 Saturday after firing a 6-under 66 during the first round. California's Sara Huarte is second at 140. Jessica Reese of Texas is tied with Friberg for third place.
Washington slipped back to 14th in the team scoring after shooting 309 during the second round. The Huskies stand at 615 after 36 holes. California leads the tournament at 5-over 581. Texas is second at 585 and UCLA is third at 586.
Husky junior Lindsay Morgan is 15th at 148 after shooting 74 during the second round. Sung Ea Lee is 71st at 158, Michelle Grafos is 86th at 166 and Breana Minnitti is 92nd at 178.
The final round of the event is scheduled for Sunday.
