
Golfers Rebound in 2nd Round of National Invitational

Tucson, AZ - The Washington men's golf team shot a second round wscore of 291 to move into a tie for ninth play after 36 holes of play at the National Invitational Tournament at Arizona National Golf Club in Tucson. The Huskies opened the tournament with a first-round score of 303.
Arizona leads the 14-team field at 4-under 572. New Mexicos is second at 58 and TCU and Texas are tied for third at 585. Arizona's Ricky Barnes, the current U.S. Amateur Champion, leads the field at 6-under 138. TCU's David Schultz is tied for Barnes for the tournament lead.
Dan Potter leads the Huskies with back-to-back even-par rounds of 72. Brock Mackenzie is 11th at 17th at 146. Corey Prugh is 44th at 152 while Derek Berg is 50th at 153. Conner Robbins is 61st at 155.
The final round of the event is scheduled for Tuesday.
