SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The Washington women's golf team stayed in 10th place after the second round of the UCLA/Pioneer Classic at the par-72 Robinson Ranch Country Club. The final round will be played Wednesday. The Huskies shot 318 on Tuesday for a two-day total of 631.
Husky junior Lindsay Morgan is tied for second, one stroke out of the lead after the first two rounds. She followed up Monday's 1-under 71 with a 4-over 76 on Tuesday. USC's Mikaela Parmlid is tied with Morgan at 147. San Jose State's Ashley Gomes leads the tournament at 146. Pepperdine's Katherine Hull and USC's Irene Cho are tied for fourth at 148.
None of the field shot better than 300 Tuesday, but USC moved into first place by five strokes by posting a 12-over 300 for a two-day total of 604. Pepperdine is second at 609 followed by California at 611. The Golden Bears shot 315 on Tuesday after opening the tournament with a 296 to grab the first-round lead.
