SEATTLE -- - Washington's 25th-ranked women's tennis squad improved its 2000 record to 8-5 today with an 8-1 win over unranked Idaho at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
The win was the sixth straight for the fast-climbing Huskies, who have not lost a dual match since Jan. 29 versus No. 5 California. In all, Washington has won eight of its last ten dual matches, buoyed by the play of junior Kristina Kraszewski, who has vaulted to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's No. 1 ranking -- becoming the first Husky ever to hold the top spot in the nation -- while amassing a 10-1 singles record in dual matches, 22-5 in singles overall.
Individual results from Tuesday's match with Idaho are not currently available, and will be posted Wednesday morning.
