SEATTLE - The Washington women's tennis team won all six singles matches and all three doubles matches against No. 72 Pacific, 9-0, on Sunday at the Lloyd Nordstrom Tennis Center. Washington improves their record to 6-5 and 1-2 in Pac-10 competition. The Huskies next match will be against No. 40 Oregonon Mar. 4 at noon in Eugene.
In singles competition, playing in the No. 1 slot, 4th-ranked junior Kristina Kraszewski stopped 91st-ranked Susan Barthel, 6-1, 6-4, while in the No. 2 slot, 52nd-ranked senior Zuzana Stunova defeated Anouk Sinnige, 6-3, 6-2. In the third position, sophomore Ilona Kordonskaya defeated Diana D'Audney, 6-4, 6-4, while in the No. 4 slot, freshman Darija Klaic downed Melinda Kocsis, 6-2, 6-2. Freshman Colleen Gray won in the fifth position by slaughtering Alison Dohrman, 6-1, 6-0, while senior Peggy Wu downed Sandija Zarina, 6-1, 6-0, in the sixth slot.
In the top position of doubles competition, 49th-ranked Kristina Kraszewski and Darija Klaic downed Susan Barthel and Diana D'Audney, 8-4. Ilona Kordonskaya and Zuzana Stunova won in the second position by defeating Anouk Sinnige and Alison Dohrman, 8-5, while Colleen Gray and Peggy Wu slaughtered Sandija Zarina and Melinda Kocsis, 8-0, in the third slot.
