Nikki Washington joined the Husky staff before the 2017 season, helping the Huskies to a winning record in her first year as an assistant. Twice in her first three years with the program the Huskies put up winning records and, in 2019, the Huskies made their first NCAA Tournament appearance in four years, reaching the second round. Washington was a part of the coaching staff that earned the United Soccer Coaches' Regional Coaching Staff of the Year award for that performance.
She came to the Huskies with an impeccable resume, having won three NCAA championships with a player at North Carolina and serving as the team captain for the U20 U.S. Women's National Team which won a world championship in 2008. Washington also won a NWSL championship during her five-year professional career.
Washington hails from Mesquite, Texas originally. She earned her master's degree from TCU and enjoys drums, spikeball, and board games. Washington is the daughter of Lecolian and Freida and has three siblings: Brandon, Lecolian Jr., and Sandra.
