Maija Howse Signs With Huskies

SEATTLE – Washington Volleyball has welcomed its first official member of the class of 2025, as Maija Howse from Eagle, Idaho has signed her Big Ten Athletics Aid Agreement. Howse is a 6-foot-3 outside hitter.
I am very excited about Maija joining the Husky family. Maija has the size, work ethic and arm to be a significant point scorer for us. Maija is also from the Pacific Northwest which we love, as we want top talent in our area to stay home and be DAWGS.Head Coach Leslie Gabriel
Howse plays for Eagle High School and competes in club for North Pacific Juniors in Salem, Ore. having teamed with current Husky freshman Alexis Haury last year. Howse has also played for Idaho Crush.
She led Eagle to the state quarterfinals in 2024 and state runner-up in 2023. She was an All-State First Team pick as a junior in 2023 and this season earned AVCA/MaxPreps Player of the Week honors on Oct. 21. In club action, she’s been named a PrepVolleyball All-Tournament Team pick at Far Westerns, and honorable mention All-Tourney at Red Rock Rave.
