Men’s Soccer Welcomes Seven To 2025 Roster
11/16/2024
SEATTLE – Washington men’s soccer head coach Jamie Clark welcomes the addition of seven signees for the 2025 roster. Joining the Huskies are Cameron Cruz, Clarens Dollin, Osato Enabulele, Kevin Hernandez, Zack Meier, Ben Norris and Kenny Pierpoint.
“We are excited to get the class of 25 on campus,” Clark said. “We have stayed true to our tradition of keeping the best Washington players at home, and then adding in some high-level players from across the country. Our in-state guys cover the state geographically from Seattle to central Washington all the way to east side of the state. The players growing up in Washington will always be our focus. We get to know them so well over the years, and they are so proud to stay home and wear the Purple and Gold! Add in a few top talents from the soccer hot beds of Southern California and Texas and you have the makings of a very special class.
“These young men chose Washington to be pushed and to work towards a degree at a world-renowned university, while also competing for national championships,” Clark added. “We tell recruits that this isn’t the easy option, but if they want to maximize their potential this is a place you can do it. We are happy these guys have accepted the challenge and know they will be great Huskies!”
CAMERON CRUZ
Seattle, Wash. | Grand Canyon | Franklin H.S. | Pac NW | MF
Cameron Cruz comes to Montlake after spending two seasons at Grand Canyon. During his time at GCU, Cruz appeared in 35 games making 23 starts. In 2023, he recorded five assists, leading the team, and had a two-assist performance against UTRGV. At the club level, Cruz played for Pac NW.
While at Washington, Cruz plans on majoring in business administration.
WHY WASHINGTON?
I chose UW because of the opportunity to fight for a school that has a great personal connection to me.
COACH CLARK ON CAMERON
Cameron is a great winger with the pace to stretch any defense. He enjoyed a good couple of seasons at GCU, and now we are delighted to bring him back home to Washington. In the summer, he played at Ballard FC in the USL 2 and really had some great games with one of the top teams in that league. He’s going to be a great addition and getting him here for the winter will really have him ready to contribute from day one.
CLARENS DOLLIN
Pullman, Wash. | Pullman H.S. | Crossfire Premiere | F
Clarens Dollin makes his way to Montlake from the east side of the state. With Crossfire Premier, they won ECNL Nationals alongside fellow signees. At Pullman High School, Dollin was named MVP where they advanced to the 2024 WIAA 2A State playoffs. Dollin scored a pair of goals to lift Pullman to the district championship this last season.
While at Washington, Clarens plans on majoring in finance.
WHY WASHINGTON?
I'm choosing UW for these main three reasons. First of all, I can really picture myself at UW for the next four years. Second, on my visit the team, the people were very welcoming. Third, want to be a dawg.
COACH CLARK ON CLARENS
Clarens Dollin comes from the heart of Cougar country, but we are delighted to make him a Husky. He was a hidden gem for a few years but came over to the other side of the state to join the Crossfire club last year, and played a huge role in helping them win a national championship. He is a great 1v1 attacking talent that can score goals, but also create then for others. He’ll be a fan favorite as he is electric on ball and can really create.
OSATO ENABULELE
Murphy, Texas | Wylie H.S. | Solar Soccer Club | F
Osato Enabulele makes his way to the Emerald City from the Lone Star State. At Wylie High School, Enabulele was named first team all-district and MVP. He tallied five goals and three assists during the 2023-24 season. With Solar SC, Enabulele helped his team to the MLS Next Cup semifinals on his way to being named first team all-conference.
While at Washington, Osato plans on majoring in business.
WHY WASHINGTON?
I chose UW because I believe it’s a school where I can grow on and off the field.
COACH CLARK ON OSATO
Osato was a great pick up for us. We haven’t had a lot of players from Texas, but when we saw him play, we needed to try bringing him to the Northwest. He has a great presence whether in the midfield or at that back. He covers a lot of ground and wins his area of the field. He controls the game on both sides of the ball as you can play through him but can also be a huge defensive presence.
KEVIN HERNANDEZ
Sunnyside, Wash. | Sunnyside H.S. | Crossfire Premiere | MF
Kevin Hernandez makes his way to UW from the east side of the state. At Sunnyside, Hernandez helped his team to a third-place finish at state and was three-times named first team all-league. He was also the top goal scorer in 2022 and 2024. Hernandez along with fellow incoming signees won the 2024 ENCL National Championship this past summer.
While at Washington Hernandez plans on majoring in business.
WHY WASHINGTON?
Growing up I was surrounded by UW fans and WSU fans but the older I got the more I leaned towards UW while also visiting campus when I was younger, when the opportunity of being a husky presented itself, I never hesitated.
COACH CLARK ON KEVIN
Kevin is one of the most versatile midfield players in the country. He’s got the skill to play as the 10, but the bite to play as a 6. His soccer IQ is through the roof, and he always knows the next pass before pressure gets to him. Arriving early this spring will give him a real chance to make a big impression next fall. We are excited to have the central part of our state represented with Kevin!
ZACK MEIER
Kirkland, Wash. | Lake Washington H.S. | Crossfire Premiere | D
Zack Meier makes the short trek to Montlake from Kirkland. With Crossfire, Meier and fellow UW signees on the ENCL National Championship. He was called up to the U19 team before nationals.
While at Washington, Meier plans on majoring in economics. Outside of soccer, he likes to ski.
WHY WASHINGTON?
I chose the University of Washington for its high level on the field and in the classroom, and to help me reach the highest level I can in both aspects.
COACH CLARK ON ZACK
Zack tore is ACL going into his senior year of HS, so is now just back to playing during a gap year where he is back playing and looking great. He has an engine that allows him to be a box-to-box fullback but has also done great as a central defender. It’s been awesome to watch him get back to top speed, as he has all the tools to be another in a long line of top Husky defenders.
BEN NORRIS
San Diego, Calif. | Cabrillo Point Academy | Orange County SC | MF
Ben Norris comes to Montlake from San Diego. While at Cabrillo Point Academy, Norris helped his team to the Division I CIF Championship as a freshman. With Orange County SC, he and his team finished second in the western conference in 2023 and a playoff appearance in 2024.
While at Washington Norris plans on majoring in business. Outside of soccer, Norris likes golfing and hanging out at the beach.
WHY WASHINGTON?
I chose UW because I liked the team and coaching staff. I also liked the campus and things to do around the campus.
COACH CLARK ON BEN
Ben has enjoyed a great season with Orange County in the USL Championship. He played week in and week out for them, and showed he is ready to compete with older players right away. His engine is big time, and he plays with a bravery we love at UW. He’s a very versatile player which should allow him to establish a role quickly and start making an impact as a Husky!
KENNY PIERPOINT
Spokane, Wash. | Gonzaga Prep | Crossfire Premier | GK
Kenny Pierpoint joins the Huskies from Spokane. With Crossfire Premier, Pierpoint and a couple fellow UW signees won the 2024 ECNL National Championship following an undefeated season.
While at Washington, Pierpoint plans on majoring in business finance. Outside of soccer, he enjoys skiing and golfing.
WHY WASHINGTON?
I chose UW because I liked the team and coaching staff. I also liked the campus and things to do around the campus.
COACH CLARK ON KENNY
Kenny has all the tools to be a big-time goalkeeper at the UW. He’s physically very gifted, has a great frame and is very brave. He’s gotten some great experience by playing in South America for a few years, and then joined the Crossfire club late last season where he helped them to win a national championship. He’ll join a great group of goalkeepers but will push to be the number one in time.
