SEATTLE – Washington softball head coach Heather Tarr welcomes the addition of six signees on Wednesday. Joining the Huskies as freshman in fall 2024 are Jade Bubke, Addison Craig, Alexis DeBoer, Sophi Mazzola, Morgan Reimer and Gabi Toney.
“This group of young women has a chance to be good in our program,” said Coach Tarr. “We are excited to follow their successes as they finish out their high school and travel ball careers. This group will join us for or inaugural run at a Big 10 conference championship. We look forward to welcoming these student-athletes and their families to our program in the fall of 2024.”
Washington’s recruiting class is one of the top in the country, coming in at No. 13 in the Extra Innings Softball rankings.

WHY WASHINGTON?
I’ve always been told that you’ll know as soon as you step on campus, it’ll feel like home, and I took my official and couldn’t imagine myself going anywhere else because the family, the culture, the environment, the school, the people and especially the program made me feel like I am exactly where I should be.
COACH TARR ON JADE
Jade comes to us from the Houston area. She’s a unique combination of both speed and power. A second baseman, but she has the versatility to defend the grass. We are excited to watch Jade develop in our program, and we believe that her raw power will make an immediate impact to our offensive line up.

WHY WASHINGTON?
Growing up I had always been a big husky fan because my dad went to UW. Later, I learned they had pretty great academic programs and their softball team was amazing. Going to the clinic and meeting the team and coaches made it even more clear that this is where I wanted to be. I think out of the options I had this was where I was given a huge opportunity and was going to see myself being happy.
COACH TARR ON ADDIE
We added Addie late in the process but are excited about the impact she will have in our outfield. She possesses great speed and hits from the left side. Her arm strength stands out to us, and she can play all outfield positions. She’s a triple threat, who can hit for some power, and play the short game. Addie is a local product and spent some time early on developing under former Husky, Kimi Pohlman.
ALEXIS DeBOER

Alexis DeBoer joins the Huskies from Bellevue where she is ranked No. 11 in the 2024 class by Extra Innings Softball. This past summer, DeBoer was named a PGF Juniors All-American after averaging .409 with six homers.

WHY WASHINGTON?
I chose UW because of the championship culture, great leadership and high standards of academics. The history of the program is amazing and I want to be a part of the upcoming success. The people are wonderful and it is everything I want in a school.
COACH TARR ON ALEXIS
Our first recruit to commit to us last fall. She brings experience and strength to our lineup. She’s an athletic, corner infielder with some big power in her bat. Being a daughter of a coach is something we value in our program, understanding the big picture and she and her family share a passion for Husky Fever. We look for Alexis to make an immediate impact on Husky Softball, not only on the field, but off the field as well.

Since then, it was always my dream to play Husky Softball. Being part of a team with a successful history and competitive culture that UW Softball has, has always been my ultimate goal. Going on my visit to UW I immediately felt like I was home. I truly felt like I belonged here and could see myself playing Husky softball for the next 4 years of my life. Also, all the players and coaching were so kind and I felt like I was already a part of the community. Seeing how close the team and staff were to each other was so important to me because my softball team has always been like a second family to me. I can’t wait to be a part of this Husky Family. Committing to the University of Washington is my dream come true and I couldn’t be more excited to be a Dawg.
