BERKELEY, Calif. – With a 4-0 shutout today, the #6 Washington Huskies finished off a three-game sweep of the California Golden Bears. It was the third consecutive Pac-12 series sweep for the Dawgs, who are now 32-6 on the season and 9-3 in conference play.

The Husky offense was clicking from the get-go, scoring in the one run in the first inning and holding the lead for the rest of the game. Sis Bates had another big day, going 3-for-4. Amirah Milloy had two hits, both for extra bases, and scored two runs for the Huskies.

Taran Alvelo and Gabbie Plain once again combined for the shutout, with Alvelo working the first four innings before Plain finished the game off for her third save of the season. Alvelo shined in the toughest moments, not allowing a hit with runners in scoring position, with Cal going 0-for-4 against the senior. Cal would manage only one baserunner against Plain in three innings of work.
