AUGUSTA, Ga. – Senior Wenyung Keh completed the first round of play at the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur on Wednesday. Keh carded an 11-over round of 83 at Champions Retreat Golf Club.
Keh heads into the second round of play in 72nd place, and will tee off on Thursday at 7:36 a.m. PDT, playing alongside Alexa Pano and Maria Fassi.
The course played difficult in the opening round as only 14 players shot under par. Keh struggled in the first round, carding one birdie, three bogeys, two double bogeys and a quadruple bogey.
Jennifer Kupcho and Zoe Campos are tied for the tournament lead at 4-under par.
The first 36 holes will be contested over two days on the Island and Bluff nines at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., April 3-4, 2019. The entire field will then play Augusta National for an official practice round Friday, April 5. The final round will take place at Augusta National on Saturday, April 6 and will feature the top 30 competitors who made the cut. NBC Sports will produce and broadcast three hours of live final-round coverage at Augusta National from Noon – 3 p.m. EDT on April 6, 2019.
