Crisp Invited to State Farm 3-Point Championship at Final Four

CHICAGO (April 1, 2019) – Washington's David Crisp has been selected to the 3-Point Championship roster for the 31st annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at Minneapolis' Target Center on Thursday, April 4, Intersport announced today. Crisp is one of eight men's college basketball players selected for the event that will air live on ESPN at 8 p.m. CT. He was invited to take part in the 3-Point Championship after being recognized as one of the nation's finest shooters from 3-point territory.
 
Crisp, a four-year standout for the Huskies, finished his collegiate career with 256 made career 3-pointers, which is second all-time in UW history. He had his best showing from 3-point range as a senior, shooting 37.4 percent from distance (74-198). That number jumped to 42.5 percent during Pac-12 action (48-113). During the 2018-19 season, Crisp averaged 12.2 points, dished out 97 assists and added 36 steals. He reached double-figures 23 times in 36 games and shot 41.0 percent from the field. For his career, Crisp finished with 1,507 career points, 13th all-time at UW, and 356 assists, ninth all-time.
 
Intersport, producers of the event, invites 24 of the nation's elite men's and women's college basketball players to compete in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships (eight dunkers, along with eight men's and eight women's shooters). The program showcases the dunking and sharp-shooting talents of the nation's top college basketball players during the Men's and Women's 3-Point Shooting Championships, the Reese's Puffs Battle of the Champions, the Great Clips Slam Dunk Championship and the Applebee's Team Shootout.
 
A complete roster of participants will be released at a later date.
 
Over the last 30 years, several of the top players in college basketball have competed in the College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships including: Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Jason Terry, Kyle Korver, Bobby Hurley, Michael Finley, Allan Houston, Wesley Matthews, Yogi Ferrell, Cappie Pondexter, Katie Gearlds, Kristi Toliver, Tiffany Hayes and Ariel Atkins.
