SEATTLE – The #5 Washington Huskies lost 15-6 to the #1 UCLA Bruins Sunday.
Madison Huskey had a big day at the plate for Washington, driving in a career-best three runs and hitting her first career home run.
Sis Bates reached base in all three of her trips to the plate, reaching via catcher's interference in the first and doubling later in the game, as well as drawing a walk.
Morganne Flores homered in the game as well, driving in two with a blast to leftfield in the fifth.
Taran Alvelo struck out 11 in the game, her 22
nd double-digit strikeout game in her career. That puts Alvelo alone in second place in Washington history, behind only Danielle Lawrie.

- First Inning: UCLA struck first with five runs early.
- First Inning: Washington answered as Huskey's two-out single curving to centerfield brought it two runs.
- Second Inning: Two doubles by UCLA extended the lead to 9-2.
- Second Inning: Bates ripped a double off the centerfield wall for an RBI, bringing in Amirah Milloy.
- Third Inning: UCLA added five more runs in the third.
- Third Inning: Huskey's first career homer came with two outs in the third.
- Fourth Inning: A sacrifice fly by UCLA brought another run in.
- Fifth Inning: Flores hit her fifth homer of the year to bring in Washington's fifth and sixth runs.
