No. 17 Huskies Finish Pac-12 Competition At No. 9 Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The GymDawgs will head south to Corvallis, Ore. to face No. 9 Oregon State in a dual meet on Sunday, March 5 at 12:00 p.m. PT. The meet will air live on the Pac-12 Networks.

Last Friday Washington scored a 196.450 to take third place in a quad meet against No. 11 Kentucky, No. 22 Illinois and NIU. The Huskies had five top-3 performances on the day and junior Hailey Burleson won the all-around for the fourth time this season with a 39.475 – her second highest AA score of the year.

"Being on the road is always great experience for us, so we're excited to have another opportunity to be in a different arena, on different equipment, and in a new place," said head coach Elise Ray. "We're very ready to compete again, especially against a strong PAC 12 opponent."

The Huskies come in at No. 17 in this week's RQS Ranking and are averaging a 196.143 on the season. The GymDawgs continue to rank inside the top 25 in each event.

The GymDawgs have had a challenging schedule this season, and this week's matchup with OSU will be no different. It will be the seventh top-25 team the Huskies have faced this year.

"I love competing against top programs," added Ray. "To be better, we must compete against programs who will challenge us. Oregon State is a great program, but we're prepared and excited to challenge them as well."

Scouting Oregon State
The Beavers are currently ranked No. 9 in the nation with an RQS of 196.635. Last week they scored a season-high 197.125 against Stanford. OSU sits two spots ahead of Washington on beam at No. 10 in the nation. The Beavers are led by Kaytianna McMillan, who ranks No. 7 in the nation in the all-around.

Event Previews
Vault, No. 20(t), RQS: 48.980 – Three GymDawgs (Burleson, Joslyn Goings, and Monica Riley) all scored 9.875s last weekend at Kentucky. Burleson has one vault title on the season and now has three top-3 finished on the event. Alexandra Yacalis and Goings both have two top-3 finishes. Haley Roy and Riley continue to put up solid scores on vault throughout the season.

Bars, No. 23, RQS: 48.965 – The Huskies scored their second highest bars score of the season last week with a 49.150. Five of the six competing Huskies scored above a 9.8. Duranczyk added another top-3 finish to her season, and now has five top-3 performances on bars. She is tied for 17th in the nation on the event. Goings and Maya Washington have also recorded top-3 performance this year.

Beam, No. 12, RQS: Beam continues to be the Huskies' highest ranking event as they average a 49.207on the season. Goings Ranks tied for 18th in the nation on beam and Burleson is tied for 24th. Goings leads the Huskies with four beam titles, Burleson has two, and Zoey Schaefer and Malory Rose each have one.

Floor, No. 14, RQS: 49.155 – The GymDawgs climbed up eight spots in the floor rankings this past weekend after scoring a 49.250. Burleson leads the Huskies with five top-3 finishes. Yacalis, Duranczyk, and Maya Washington all have top-3 finishes this season.

All-Around – Burleson moved up two spots to No. 12 in the nation in the all-around after scoring a 39.475 at Kentucky. She now has five AA title on the season. Goings competed in the all-around for the second time this season, scoring a 39.275.
