Thirty-Four Huskies Earn MPSF Academic Award

SEATTLE - Washington put together an impressive winter quarter in the classroom this year, with thirty-four Dawgs earning All-Academic honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. In addition, the Husky women's team earned the department's Women's Large Team award for highest GPA, as the women compiled a 3.36 grade point average for the winter. The men's team was also above a 3.00 for the quarter, posting a 3.01.
To earn All-Academic MPSF honors, athletes must have completed one full year at their current institution and have a cumulative GPA of above a 3.00. Athletes also must have participated in at least 50-percent of a team's scheduled competitions during the indoor season.
Husky women earning All-Academic honors include Briegan Bester, Carolyn Birkenfeld, Ericka Budinich, Monica Cohen, Annika Dayton, Mayson Douglass, Gina Flint, Tori Franzen, Emily Hamlin, Morganne Hill, Candace Ho, Elinor Jones Toutant, Carly Lester, Anna Maxwell, Maddie Meyers, Darhian Mills, Amy-Eloise Neale, Hanna Tarleton, and Marissa Taylor.
On the men's side, the Huskies had 15 honorees: Blaise Black, Julius Diehr, Andrew Gardner, Colby Gilbert, Fred Huxham, Connor Jost, Jordan Lucas, Jason Palmer, Gavin Parpart, Zach Shugart, Chase Smith, Jacopo Spano, David Strome, Michael Thomas, and Khalil Winfrey.
